081324 - Sun Valley Grass Fire

At 5:21PM on August 13, 2024 the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the 8600 block of N Sharp Av in Sun Valley for a reported grass fire.

The first arriving fire officer found less than 1/2 acre of light, flashy fuels burning in a flat field surrounded by fire breaks. Due to the size of the field, additional resources were requested during the upgrade to a brush fire response.

Firefighters contained and extinguished the fire with no injuries reported.
