051824 - Aftermath of Hydrant Shearing Traffic Collision Sends Two To Hospital

VALLEY GLEN - Two men involved in an altercation following a traffic collision that sheared a fire hydrant, thankfully escaped with non-life threatening injuries late May 18, 2024.
The crash near the intersection of Oxnard Street and Woodman Avenue, caused a sedan to overturn, and a towering spout of water to flow over high voltage power lines above.
Los Angeles Fire Department responders tended to the injured men, transporting both to area hospitals in fair condition, as their colleagues sought to safely stem the flow of water prior to the arrival of water and power utility crews.
