On June 30, 2023 member of the LAFD, LACoFD, CAL FIRE, LAPD, LASD and other municipal fire departments joined together with the Grossman Burn Center to emphasize the importance of fireworks safety.
Ms LaVeyah Mosely, who at age 12 lost all the digits on her left hand due to a fireworks related injury, was present to share her story so others could learn from her experience.
These Los Angeles public safety agencies discussed fireworks safety, zero tolerance for illegal fireworks in the City of LA and 4th of July safety concerns.
