051122 - Cliff Rescue Off Mulholland Dr

At 6:57PM on May 11, 2022 responded to the 7750 block of Mulhollan Dr for a reported vehicle over the cliffside. LAFD Air Ops first located and then directed ground based firefighters to a single vehicle over the side with one patient entrapped. Crews established a two line rope system to descend the hill, densely covered in heavy vegetation, with extrication equipment. Once the patient was freed from the wreckage, LAFD Air Ops conducted a hoist operation and transported the patient in critical condition.
