011422 - Fatal Collision in Canoga Park

At 1:00AM on January 14, 2022 the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the 6500 block of N Canoga Ave in Canoga Park for a reported traffic accident. A passenger vehicle collided into a tanker truck then careened into a fountain and erupted into flames. The occupant of the vehicle was determined deceased on scene. The tanker spilled an estimated 1,000 gallons of fuel. There were no other injuries reported.
