LAFD Squashes Hollywood Brush Fire

HOLLYWOOD - Just after 6:00 PM on July 9, 2012 Los Angeles Firefighters responded a brush fire at 3100 Canyon Lake Drive, approximately a 1/2 mile under the Hollywood sign, near a popular spot to stop & shoot photos. When firefighters arrived they found approximately a 1/2 acre of medium brush burning. Nearly 75 firefighters on ground and air worked aggressively to surround the fire. It was extinguished in just 24 minutes, and was kept to less than one acre. No structures were damaged and no one was injured. Photo by Scott Larue
