Hee! How many of them work? This makes me want to round up all my silly cameras and photograph them- what a fun shot. In my case, though, about half of my cameras don't work, but they do make great doorstops. :)

  5. lady_elsinore 69 months ago | reply

Ostensibly, most of them work if I wanted to mess with getting 127 film or with respooling 120 onto 620 spools or filing down 120 spools to use in the 620 cameras. The shutter mechanisms trip, anyway, though no telling on their accuracy. I haven't been able to figure out the 4x5 TLR to know if I could make it work with a polaroid back (which would be awesome, if expensive). Also haven't figured out the Tynar spy camera, though that one would be nearly impossible to use anyway since the reel canisters were proprietary and not made anymore.

As for film cameras I've shot with, I've used the Canon AE-1P, the Elan II, the Seagull 109, and the Balda Baldini (I have some shots from it in my photo stream now!), ,then of course the digital cameras work. I just ordered a battery for the Polaroid Land Camera, and given how well it was kept by my Grandparents, I'm reasonably certain it will work.

What a nice *little* starter collection! ;-)

I know it totally pales in comparison to yours ;)

Actually, i'm paring down my collection. That was sarcasm... You've got a great collection here. Some day i'll imitate (copy/ripp off) your pic for comparison... One thing, though... I don't have anything as cool as a Hagrid.

lol copy/rip off anything you want ;) And uh..let me know if you have any medium format stuff in working condition that you would love to part with ;)

Is Hagrid a Gowlandflex by any chance?

  13. lady_elsinore 64 months ago | reply

Oh man, I wish he were! But alas, he's just a Beattie Imperial 90. A 4x5 Gowlandflex would be lots of fun, but I lack the funds for such a monster camera--I got Hagrid at a yard sale for $10!

  14. bl1nk [deleted] 64 months ago | reply

$10, wow, that was a find. 20 is not an addiction - although I got my TLRs down to 11 due to moving from UK to Australia a few years ago so my total is currently 21 excluding the one on my phone.
