I have noticed recently that a lot of my photographs lately have looked like explosions or near explosions. I wonder what that is saying about me and my subconscious?
Umbrella papyrus is one of my favorite garden plants. When I saw these yellowed pieces on a plant at Mayfield, I had to photograph them. That required some more acrobatics (like using a tree to balance me as I leaned into the plant to get past all the green fronds).
I took two, one where the shadows are in focus, and this one where almost nothing is in focus. I prefer this one because the color palette is wider. Those tropical blues and blue-greens are powerful colors for me.
