    I like this picture, and I have a question: are those columns really elliptical (in cross-sections) or is this a distortion caused by the very wide angle? The more distant columns seem more circular...What IS the width-angle in this picture?

    That's lens distortion. The columns are regular corinthian columns.

    As the caption states, I'm shooting with the Samyang 14mm lens.

    OK, thanks for the column info. What I meant to ask was, what's the width-of-field in degrees; a Google check says 114 degrees on a full-frame camera. I bet that lens is a lot of fun to use! I had seen some your previous "comparison" posts.
