From the Field to the Forest

    Newer Older

After putting in a full day, working in the yard, and being completely drenched numerous times by the typical Oregon spring showers, I had the nifty idea that I should go get a couple of snaps. I mean, I drop 2G's on a camera, and it's collecting dust? This is no good.

Using those clouds to my advantage, I tried to emphasize a bit of the scenery around me... a 3 minute drive from my house, this was - but I didn't want to take the chance of getting dumped on (hence the driving bit).

Kudos to Panorama Paul for the technique I stole. This is a vertorama. Two ultra-wide-angle shots, stitched together. Lemme know how I did.

This is awesome Kyle! These colors are great, I love how you used the clouds to frame the top (great attention to detail) and awesome detail in the foreground. Well done!

I can't even tell that it's stitched. Great job on this. Love the view looking up the grassy field.

Hey cool... Kyle's done a Vertorama!!! And what a sweet one this is... that foreground grass looks lush and crisp (and freshly rained-on)... and the clouds bring some real visual interest to the sky! Very nicely balanced composition... a great shot!!

Great job Kyle. I would never have known that this was stitched. It's got a wonderful spring feel to it.
