Crotalus horridus (Canebrake Rattlesnake)

East Texas - Summer 2014

Second of three live canebrakes found this late summer night. This attractive young male canebrake had just been clipped by a truck, injuring his tail past the vent. His injuries were minor and other than localized bleeding, showed no signs of any serious damage or pain.
