37~P52 And The Leaves Dry
Love it or hate it, tobacco is part of our culture. This week I was able to shoot some recently hung leaves during my trip to Kentucky.
Amazingly, no part of the harvest of tobacco is mechanized. It's all done by hand, one plant at a time; cut, stacked, threaded, and hung to dry. Equally surprising was the fact that I choked and coughed the entire time I was in the drying barn. Wow, what the heck do the leaves extrude in the drying process. Yikes!! :)
Never two days the same. Just the way I like it!
