Kargilik Mosque (加滿清真寺)

The sorry state of what's left of the historical mosque (built in 1540) in Kargilik. The stars and crescents on the roof were stripped and huge red communist propaganda banner is now hanged in the front). No worshipers and tourists are allowed access to the mosque with significant police force guarding it. Photographs of the mosque are not allows, I guess the government doesn't want the world to know the extend of the religion persecution towards its Uyghur and/or Muslim population. This photo was taken using remove trigger.
