WOW (redux)

(This is a re-process and re-stitch of this panorama using better processing in Lightroom 4.1, Autopano Pro and PTGui Pro - the image is straighter and the color is better)

"Wow" was all I could think when I was taking this panorama in a flooded Badwater in Death Valley National Park

This was, I think, the most beautiful and intense sunset I have ever seen in no small part because I was seeing double! The color was amazing! I could not have asked for better conditions of clouds and a complete lack of wind (and thus lack of ripples.) It was a challenge to master the art of taking panos without moving one's legs at all (because the ripples last about 5 minutes before they are gone from view!) I have written an entry in my photo blog about my post processing philosophy using this panorama as an example. Check it out: blog.kurtlawson.com/?p=1080
