The last rays of the sun are shining on the foothills of the Sneffels Range in Colorado’s amazing San Juan Mountains near Ouray. The large aspen forest on the edge of this meadow is starting to change, while high above whole sections are peaking intermixed with evergreens in this view in the fall. Fresh snow had just blanketed the crest. The Sneffels Range reaches its highest point at Mount Sneffels, 14,158 feet. Mount Sneffels is the pyramid-like summit, second high point from the left of frame in this view.
