Tainan, Taiwan
台南, 台湾 In Tainan, a man held up his son at the temple where we were all at a small local festival in the hot, humid summer in Taiwan. Papa grew up in Tainan, which is in the southern part of Taiwan, a small island country that's shaped like a yam, and my grandparents, Akon and Ama, lived here for many years before they moved to Kaohsiung. I always enjoyed visiting Tainan. The local people are really friendly and chill, and there's a really yummy dou-hua spot, so when my friend Sarah and I visited while living in Taiwan after college, I remember we went and got the dou-hua at night and went back the next morning because it was so yummy.
