Snowy ripple marks

Feb 3, 2013

I looked at the north side slope of the ridge from the Happo-One, approximately 1,900m above sea level, which was located in the northern area of the Japan North Alps.

This slope was always exposed to the strong wind from the upper ridge. A strong wind made the slope a wave-like pattern on the snow. The formation of the cornice was observed in a part of the ridge. I was overwhelmed by the beauty that nature created.
