In my backyard

Startrails - backyard

Well I got up at 3.30am on Friday to try and catch some of the eta Aquarid meteors... the trail left behind form Hayley's comet. The earth passes through the band twice a year..

So I set up my camera, and with my flickr friend Peter, we set about to try and catch the elusive little fellas...

I tried for something a little bit different, hence the clothes line.. sort of a more homely feel... :~}

And while we calmly sat and watched the display above us... I saw at least six shooting stars... my poor camera and its lovely comp were pointing in the wrong direction... dang...

I did capture several satlleites and a couple of planes.. so not all was lost...

Thanks Pete for braving the cool morning air...
