What power lines...

We interrupt the Wakefield series - - for some local colour.....

WOWSERS.. I had to go out tonight, to my local lapidary club... and the sky was alive... I rushed (a little tooooo quickly) to a local vantage point, no great lakes or hoods here..., and snapped away and watched and enjoyed an AWESOME sunset.... all the while the rest of the world just drove past....

The sun was setting on my left, in a completely cloudless horizon, but this band of cloud ran roughly north south halfway across the sky... the setting sun was casting it's golden glow on the underside of the clouds.... You can see some lower clouds on the right, that sun had already left.. these really added to the drama... I wish I had a 14mm lens for the 5dII something that could have caught all the action...

I ended up leaning up against the fence and chatting to the local who was out tending to his shy miniature horses.. and just enjoyed this view...

I will return to Wakefield... only a few more shots to go... so don't despair.. they will be over shortly..

ISO 500, 16mm, f/2.8, 1/500sec, handheld, raw, minor tweaks only in LR.. this shot could use PS to remove some power lines... dang..
