A shooting star or pehaps an Iridium flare ?
Day two of our Newnes excursion.. Time to light the fire and ... well.. take some shots of the night sky, the air had cleared.. and the moon wasn't due to come up for 4 or 5 hours.. so time for some star thingies... (I just love those technical terms.. really shows how knowledgeable I have become....)
Well what can I say.. this was an unexpected find in the shot... a Shooting STAR.. yippee.. sorry about that...
I had been taking some snaps, and seeing what works, and trying longer and longer exposures.. this was the longest at 15mins that worked... after this something happened.. see below for the shot and description...
Well, the Penrith Flickr meet up group went for a little weekend jaunt to Newnes, which is 150kms west of Sydney, Australia, in the wilds of our Blue Mountain National Park.
Thanks for your comments and favs, they are appreciated.
For a larger glimpse GO on make a wish..
