Corbin House
At the end of the day, when the sun was sending its last burst of light upon the prairie, my husband and I drove by the house spotlighted by Mother Nature. We quickly turned around.

Here is where I learned why the ranchers burn prairies in the Spring. The grass was so tall. So hard. So thick.

We parked near the opened gate by the road and proceeded the rather long jaunt to the house.

Here is where I also learned how nature reclaims its own. The house is on very borrowed time. It leans to the right by the vines which have worked their way between the slats of wood popping out the nails and pulling the structure down.

The floors have turned to dirt.

This place is a perfect study of man vs. nature.

Nature always wins.
