louvre in paris
Here is an all-time favorite of most of my old flickr friends.
It was a collaboration between me and my dear buddy, FrankBa.
Here's the story behind this image and why I took it off from my photostream.
This was one of my best hitters. Posted two years ago, I got hundreds of comments and faves from everyone who like my dark HDRs. But, I removed it because of my total disappointment with flickr Explore.
There was a time that I got exposure on EXPLORE almost on a daily basis. Life was so good then.
But from the time I posted FrankBa's photo with my HDR touch, the happy days just stopped.
I felt so bad, and I know most of you know the feeling, that I shied away from flickr.
I tried to figure out why I was not featured on Explore. And I noticed that the last picture that was featured was this one.
So, I removed it without even telling my friend Frank. As soon as I took it off, I regretted what I did.
And to cut the story short, still, here I am, once on Explore all the time. And now, just a forgotten entity.
But hey, I still make pictures that are unforgettables.
Technique used here was an old HDR style of mine. Each one of my HDRs are like paintings when I make them. I cannot re-enact what I did especially most of my HDRs are eating up my disk space as Photoshop PSDs. Some are even a GIG in size.
You will get more insights as to how I do my HDRs the Kris Kros way in my upcoming book.
Enjoy this classic and my BIG thanks again to my friend Frank for sending me 10 NEF pictures of Louvre. The other 5 were used in LOUVRE IN PARIS II and shown below.
Watch out for the launching of my book "HDR UNLEASHED" in July.
