Fallen Saguaro Seeds

This fruit has fallen from the top of a saguaro cactus 25 feet tall. Hundreds of tiny black seeds now must wait for just the right conditions to germinate. Very few ever do. But the pulp of the fruit is a good source of nutrition for desert animals, birds and bugs.
