This version was nearly final and represented the final tile layout. I
replaced one of my own tiles with a scaled down version of the entire poster, and added a title and attribution credits at the bottom.

Is there a software which can make these pics? Please give me a note.

    11. krazydad / jbum ages ago | reply

Ordo, yes there is, and I wrote it (in Perl, using the ImageMagick library).

This particular poster was produced by a one-shot script that does one thing: Makes giant peaches.

I described some of my techniques in the book Flickr Hacks, published by O'Reilly.

    12. Ordovicium ages ago | reply

Cool. May you send me the script, or do I have to buy it :)

    13. krazydad / jbum ages ago | reply

That particular script was a one shot script that relied on a number of other modular scripts, which I have since updated, thus the old peach script no longer works by itself (it relied on having a particular directory structure set up, an older version of ImageMagick, and so on).

I'm working on a number of projects at the moment, and I don't have time to support getting it to work on your machine.

If you're a Perl programmer and you're willing to try to resurrect an old broken script, send me your email address, and I'll send you a copy.
