Just a basic box camera, but isn't it beautiful?

The Majestic was made c1950 by Galter Products of Chicago.

Galter Products was part of a group of companies (or it may actually be more correct to say that "Galter Products" was one of several names used by a single company) primarily known as the manufacturers of the ubiquitous plastic candid "minicams" like the Falcon Miniature and countless others. Looking rather like a cookie tin on its side, the Majestic was a bit of a stylistic departure for them.

Many thanks to my flickr friend and camera-collecting twin, Jamie. This camera would not be a part of my collection if not for her truly exceptional efforts.
