Sabre "620"

    Newer Older

The Sabre 620 is a simple plastic box camera made by Shaw-Harrison from c1956. There were several colors made, as can be seen on this page at the awesome westfordcomp.com.
The great, classic styling of the Sabre was one of the things that made me want to collect cameras in the first place, yet it's my most recent purchase.

      Warm Greetings:

Yes! My older sister had one of these [ and for a HIgh Shcool grad' present she recieved one of those bulky late 50's model Polaroid Land cameras- It seemed miraculous]; the next eldest had a little black Kodak box 127 film model with a little white button at the side, to snap the flick. I had a larger tan and brown box brownie 127film camera, with hooded flash bulb attachment. Man, you've really got a collection of functional memorabiia!

      Fantastic!

      Tenga La Paz, John!

I'd swear at one time - I saw a lot of similar 127 or 620 cameras - same design - different name on them - all US plastic made - most with lens in the league of a Holga...

      Melissa,
Sabre cameras are valued at around 5 or 10 dollars, depending on condition. Sometimes people will pay a bit more for one, if it's an exceptional example, or if they're collecting all the different colors and are willing to pay more for one they don't have.
