Howdah Pistol

It was an easy enough thing to cut the stock off of a Smok'N Barrel Shotgun I picked up at Wal-Mart for $15. Then, it was some hammer-finish paint (the barrel turned out nice but the receiver didn't take on the proper finish), some detail work and some leather to hide the big hole where the stock used to be.

 

To make this more of a howdah pistol, I probably should have cut down the barrel some but the toy's barrels had a chamber inside for four AA batteries to drive the "smoking chamber" feature. I wasn't quite sure how that hack job would work out so I left it with the long barrel. I may get ambitious later and try cutting it down. It would certainly be easier to come up with a holster for it with a shorter barrel.
