Laughlin Junction: Then and Now

The upper photo is from Eliza: Remembering a Pittsburgh Steel Mill by Mark Perrott and shows Laughlin Junction and the B&O line approaching the Eliza Furnace and the J&L Steel complex in 1981 after the plant was closed but before demolition.

The lower photo shows the situation nearly 30 years later. The B&O track has been removed and in the distance become the Eliza Furnace Trail. The junction has been replaced with a parking lot.

I couldn't get the photos to line up quite right, probably the difference between the lenses on Perrott's high-end film camera and my cheap digital. Also, the autostitching distorted the track a little bit.
