Galah (Eolophus roseicapilla)

Wamboin, NSW, Australia.

This is more or less a test shot trying to discern the capabilities of my new Sony 70-400G lens to track birds in flight (BIF). So far, I'm pretty happy with the results. My Tamron 200-500 was a very hit-or-miss affair with BIFs, and rarely fired off more than one in focus - I managed about 6 sharpish shots of this galah in the sequence. The focus limiter really comes into its own here - the Tammy would invariably hunt so much the moment was lost. RIP Tammy!
