The Space Between
So after the atomic sunset I got last Monday the next day I was hoping for the same deal at the coast and after work I headed for Hug Point. (Thanks Reed for the directions). The waterfall was barely a trickle and I thought I could still make something of it. I spent 45 min. wetting all the rocks I would have had in my foreground with my 16 oz water bottle and spent another 20 min. trying to find my comp and get my angle right. ( not easy to do on all the uneven rocks while getting soaked by the waterfall) I left my tripod there and waited for the light show. These two guys showed up and one guy asked me to move my tripod. I was a little reluctant to do so because of all the time I spent prepping for the shot. Long story short it took me another 15 minutes to re-find my comp and I was seriously pissed! An older guy taking senior portraits came along and saw my tripod and asked me to move it and I gave him a disgusted look and he changed his mind. Later on he asked me how much he'd have to pay me to use my waterfall . I normally am very considerate of others but dangnamit I drove all the way from Vancouver and spent 45 minutes wetting rocks 2 hours before sunset to make sure I got what I wanted . No wonder why I love getting sunrise, no one else is around!!!! I didn't get what I wanted so I had to settle for this. Happy Monday ya'all and thanks for lookn.
