Nadège Collaboration with KRONA & LION
Je T’aime: Nadège Unveils Valentine’s Day Collection
Teams Up With KRONA & LION for Window Installation
TORONTO, January 30, 2013 -- Nadège has launched their newest collection: a sweet selection of Valentine’s Day products. The lineup--complete with eight signature treats--features new twists on timeless staples, including Nadège’s chocolate bon bons boxes, now with a special edition heart band, and their “Je T’aime” dark chocolate tablet, a variation on the shop’s signature letter-pressed alphabet tablets. New limited edition treats have also been added to the mix, such as their edible dark chocolate lipstick. Heart-shaped delicacies, from lollipops to cakes, further enhance the seasonal offerings. The products are currently available in stores and will run until February 14th, with select items available for order online.
“We wanted to take Valentine’s Day to the next level and create products that not only taste phenomenal but have a unique presentation element as well,” says Chef Nadège Nourian. “The packaging plays an important role and we’re always looking to work with original suppliers to customize the Nadège line.”

To complement their Valentine’s Day selection, Nadège has also unveiled a unique window concept: a hand-crafted display by multi-disciplinary design collective KRONA & LION at their Queen West location. The two installations (South and West-facing windows) feature over 500 origami modules from Nadège’s own “I love You” macaron box and orange cake box packaging, and runs until February 22nd.
KRONA & LION re-purposed 100 sheets of Nadège’s packaging materials to create hundreds of origami modules in various shapes and colours: pyramids, cubes, and octahedrons in pink, orange, white, and champagne as well as Nadège’s signature square, triangle and circle motif. The shapes are strung together to form a textured, multi-colour heart. This is the first retail storefront endeavour for KRONA & LION, who have created widely-published installations, sets for fashion shows, works for private collections and exhibit pieces for Nuit Blanche, Come Up To My Room, MADE and DO Design, among others.
Nadège offers a delectable array of high quality and original gourmandises. Fourth generation pastry chef and acclaimed culinary talent, Nadège Nourian, launched the first Nadège Patisserie location in 2009. The clean modern design of the flagship Queen Street West café and patisserie--and its sumptuous cakes, macarons, chocolates, biscuits, marshmallows, pastries and sandwiches--have made Nadège Patisserie a must-see-and-taste attraction for locals and visitors alike. A second location, as well as a new product range, followed in 2011: Nadège Patisserie on Yonge street crafts, and exclusively retails, a line of house-made chocolates, 16 flavours range in darkness from 60% to 85%. Nourian delights her customers by continuing to develop new and exciting seasonal collections and projects: chocolate Alphabet Tablets (From A to Z), special cakes and limited edition macarons, among them.
