    Beautiful bronze statue and a very nice capture of it. The framing/composition is good. He looks like he is waiting for somebody! Grand job.

    I like the photo mainly because of the priest walking there... It gives a different perspective to the picture...

    The lion is made by the famous Bulgarian sculptor Andrei Nikolov. The prototype is Thracian. The lion waits for those who will never return....
    and guards the Eternal flame which symbolizes the eternal souls of the Bulgarian soldiers who died for the freedom of Bulgaria.

    One question only... From what I know, the monument was built in 1981. Andrey Nikolov died much earlier... The lion was somewhere else before?
