In my head I will probably call them "really fucking buttery French cookies."
I used this recipe and followed the recommendation for only 14 minutes baking time. Also, I used an egg wash and a toothpick for the tops. They would have come out more sophisticated if I made diagonal crosses, oops. OH NO I HAVE TO BAKE MORE COOKIES NOW.
I've been trying not to bake so much, but I started reading a manga called Antique Bakery and it's rather difficult to refrain from buttery little treats when one is reading about French pastries all afternoon.
