Himalayan Herd

Sheep, mostly Pashmina grazing in Morey (More) Plains in the Himalayas. This plain land mass between Pang and Tanglang La pass on the Manali Leh Highway has an average elevation of 4000 metres and is traversed by the Highway for 35 KM. Shepherds from Himachal Pradesh lead their herd up to the Plains in Summer and start their return journey by August.
