First one starting from San Francisco, going to the National Parks via San Diego. Photos of Highway 1, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Arches National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Death Valley, Yosemite and San Francisco.
Second trip only to Yosemite from San Francisco.
Third trip down Highway 1, then to Yosemite via Mountain View.

First trip (May 2011):
- rented a car in SFO, and drove down to Santa Cruz
- drove from Santa Cruz to San Diego via Monteray, down Highway 1, over the mountains on the Nacimiento-Fergusson Road (Highway 1 was shut due to landslide), past San Antonio resevoir, stopped for lunch in Santa Barbara and finished by taking highway 101/5 the rest of the way to San Diego
- went sailing in San Diego

Second trip (May 2012)
- rented car from SFO, drove to Yosemite
- walked the Mist Trail, Panorama Trail, Four Mile Trail in 10 hours (including breaks), were glad to be on flat ground at the end of the day
- drove to Mariposa Grove via Tunnel View, walked through almost all of the grove to the Wawona Point Vista and back, drove back to Yosemite Valley for dinner and up to Glacier Point for sunset (saw deer)
- walked the whole Mirror Lake trail, including over the rockfall from Ahwiyah Point and drove back to Oakland
- walked Coastal Trail, Wolf Ridge Trail and Miwok Trail at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, dropped off car

Third trip (October 2013)
- rented car from SFO and drove down to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park
- drove up and down the Big Sur coast, walked the Mill Creek Trail, drove down to Obispo, stopped off at Morro Bay and camped at San Simeon State Park
- drove to Yosemite, camped at Hodgdom Meadow
- picked up wilderness permit, walked to North Dome via the Snow Creek Trail, camped off Indian Ridge
- walked along to Yosemite Point, then down past Yosemite trail and drove back to SFO
