Get Your Protest On!

Wisconsin wasn't the only state that is being effective by anti labor and specifically anti public education. The people that make this legislation imo pretty much only care about the education of their own kids and, of course, they are rich enough to afford private schools. Instead of legitimately funding public education, they've been starving the system for years and made it their vendetta to eradicate the middle class and uphold the elitism and wealthy rank of the rich. It's a travesty and it's only gotten worse with the Tea Party candidates actually getting elected as representatives in their states. What this nation is coming to is frightening indeed.

Education is a human right. Basic health care is a human right. The working and middle class is a legitimate class. We've spent our TIF funds ensuring more jons for wealthy corporations. We've spent our national taxes on war and occupation. This doesn't seem to be changing.

Our nation was founded on the very notion of dissent. Therefore, it is the most patriotic thing to do as an American. It was great to see Daley Plaza so full.

As Leonard Cohen sings:

"There is a war between the rich and poor, a war between the man and the woman.

There is a war between the ones who say there is a war and the ones who say there isn't."
