120/365: "all shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well." st. julian of norwich (1342-1416)
Even when I don't feel it, I choose to believe this. Even when there are massive earthquakes in Haiti, even when there are catastrophes in Darfur, in China, in the Congo, even when healthcare is in shambles ... I hold on to this knowledge to stay sane.
Like many, the news about Haiti hit me hard -- the images and videos especially (no surprise there, having such a visual orientation). I've had so many dreams in the past week where I'm being chased, where there are earthquakes, and where I'm trapped in crumbling buildings.
The beauty of having this faith is that one day, I believe all things will be restored and renewed to how it was supposed to be, always meant to be. No more sadness, no more pain, no more earthquakes that tear the world in half. God will make all things new: in the words of the saint ... all manner of things shall be well.
P.S. I didn't think writing backwards was going to be quite this hard!! ;o)
