Hanging Martenitsa

The Martenitsa is an ancient Bulgarian tradition that was used for centuries to interpret the fertility of the forthcoming summer and the whether the winter will be mild or severe.

The Martenitsa is put on one's clothing on the first of March and hanged on a tree that's blossoming or under a rock, should you see a stork. The Hanging of the Martenitsa signifies the beginning of the spring
