      Nice golden hour light!
It's always amasing when wild critters trust you enough to allow a close approach, and
once they're accustomed to you it's really incredible how close an approach they will tolerate!

Nicely done. Know the feeling of getting close..I had a hawk fly over me last week. As for IDs, I use whatbird.com. It has a great search where you can start with details like location, size, shape, etc. Really helped me out.

Incredible shot, especially with the great light! I've had a couple of experiences like this in recent years - in my case, pretty sure the hawks were focused on prey in the grass, and I just happened to be a minor distraction.
