wounded beast

I painted this in 2007, and it became a turning point where I could start to clearly see why I so badly needed to paint. At the same time, this embodied so much what I was trying to say that it has taken a long time for me to go back to painting large pieces again. I felt I had said all I had to say with that 1 painting. But muses are always there waiting in the shadow with boundless gifts of creativity. They will be back. They are really already. ... I have started oil!!!
