Recycle Bottles and Cans AD (HDR)

    Newer Older

An ad I made for photo class about recycling.
(Yes I did dump a whole bunch of cans on my front lawn)

This is and HDR with 14 exposures at f5.6 (14 probably wasn't necessary, but I was bored)
If you would like to use this image, please contact me for a higher resolution image. I would also appreciate a copy of wherever it has been published. Links or hardcopy, or scans are fine. At the least please tell me where you used it. -Thanks
Many people have asked where the box is from, I got it a while ago from a California Recycling starter kit:

connielam, greenchangeconservation, and 22 other people added this photo to their favorites.

This is great. I was the head of the department of conservation which designed and distributed these bins. Can I have a high res version of this ?

I go to the University of Utah and in my writing for new media class i am writing a informational website on recycling. I am wondering if i can use your picture for my home page. I am not sure what the URL would be, but it would be through the fine arts department. It is not a website that many people would see and it would actually get deleted in June at the end of the semester. If you don't mind if i borrow it would you let me know as soon as possible?! You can e-mail me at jenna_rose_levetan@yahoo, i check it regularly. Thank you so much.

Hello - The black container in the picture (event box/ad can) - I was wondering where it came from. I work for a waste collection company and it looks way nicer that the ones we have and I would like to look into them.

I'm speaking at a TEDx conference tomorrow and would love to use your photo. It captures the essence of "we're getting closer" so well. The video of the talk will be up in about a week or so at

I notice you said ok to a couple of others so I will go the "beg forgiveness" route if you changed your mind on its use in the past 7 months.

If you get this before 8 a.m. EST on 10/21, please email me the high res at

I'm writing a story about the "bottle bill' for a weekly newspaper called the City Sentinel. We cannot pay you for use, but will give you photo credit. May I use this? Thanks, Darla

Sure, no problem using it! Please credit me "Desmond Talkington" and if you can provide me a link to the online article that would be great.
