Soldiering on

Its been super windy up here the past few days just is frustrating with my new flash sitting unused. This is one I took on the day it arrived, a soldier beetle, so named, according to wikipedia, due their bright red colour reminding people of soldier colours. This beetle is desired by gardners as it consumes many soft bodied insects (aphids, caterpillars etc) which happily munch their way through your prized lettuce.
