Shoe

From my commute to work, shoe shiner named Larry Moore. Very nice guy.

Update: 03/24/09 - met Larry officially today on my way back to my office. He had this picture printed out! I was really excited. He wasn't happy with the comments left, but agrees that thus is life and what people are all talking about currently.

Please see an article written about him recently in SFGate:

I bet this guy was shinein shoes before King Obama was ever elected...
I agree with the change imagery.. it does say alot... and it has absolutely nothing to do with Obama...

great photo :] I noticed some confusion- Your photograph made it to the front page of Digg, so many viewers are coming from there. Whoever submitted it put it under the title "CHANGE has come?" Thus, all of the commenters thought that was the message of your image.

passed by his shoe shine station today and saw this picture printed out and propped up on one of his chairs. I was going to talk to him, but he wasn't anywhere nearby, he must have walked off for a moment.

I'll go back later and take a picture and talk to the guy. I'm wondering if someone gave it to him or if he found this himself?

His friend who works in the building nearby had printed it for him.

Sharpness and capture are awesome! Just a wonderful composition and window into other peoples world.

I really think the guy is doin' it perfectly right. Rather get some work done and being paid for it than sitting around doin nothing and begging for money.

      Great job.
      Great shot.
