Sarah 09-18 (19 of 20).jpg
Today my friend John of JRPhotographyBC and I set out to shoot some model portraits with various tools. I shot with the Canon 5Dmk3 with both the Mark I and Mark II 24-70 F/2.8, an EF 50mm F/1.4 and the FujiFilm X-Pro1 with the 35mm F/1.4 Fujinon.
These are twenty of my favourite photos from the shoot. The X-Pro1 was challenging, but I'm new to the system so I need time to adjust. Both the Mark I and Mark II of the 24-70 both did tremendously well. The Mark II certainly is sharper with better micro contrast. Both lenses performed better than expected. The biggest disappointment was the 50mm F/1.4. However when I nailed it, it was awesome. I actually found that the Fujinon 35mm much more forgiving and enjoyable to shoot with. Yay for the X-Pro1. I'm very happy with the combination I have set up right now.
