Contax G T* Planar 45 F/2

Comparison of the Contax G T* Planar 45 F/2 vs Olympus 45 F/1.8. These two lenses are almost identical. With some slight difference obviously due to F/1.8 vs F/2, but for the most part almost identical performance. These are both shot at F/2

Wow, you are correct, both seem very much like the other. But the specular highlights in the bokeh with the Plannar here just seem a bit nicer.

But for the price difference, and the addition of auto focus for the E-P system for the Oly, its a great buy.

I do think in this image the specular highlights are better, but this is maximum aperture for the Planar, and stopped down for the Olympus. When both are stopped down at F/2.8 it starts to equalize again. The Olympus at F/1.8 of course has an advantage with smoother background blur. In the end they both look pretty much the same and both have awesome performance.

Nice comparison. The Planar's bokeh is indeed a bit more harsh than the Olympus with the edges being more pronounced, but both are very good.
