My lust & love for Zeiss glass is unfortunately limited to 100mm at the moment, at least in the new Z* line. Enter the Voigtlander 180/4 SL APO-LANTHAR, an extremely rare, ultra-high quality lens that came from that same factory as Zeiss does. I was lucky enough to grab one on-line for a reasonable price - these don't pop up often, and when they do - they hurt your wallet. The lens has some amazing qualities, like übersharpness @ f/4, no gains from stopping down other than to increase DOF. Very little vignetting, almost zero chromatic abberrations, and wonderful bokeh. Did I mention the unusually close-focusing distance for a lens this long? Oh and it's tiny too! Incredibly small and light. I think I'm in love.
