I finally got back out into the wilderness and went on my second backpacking trip. I was able to spend 4 days out in the Sabrina Basin of the Eastern Sierras. It was an incredible experience (with the exception of the 3 hour hail and thunderstorm that caught us on an exposed rock ridge!) and the beauty of this place was overwhelming!
I went scouting the night before this sunrise and found this stream coming out of Moonlight Lake. I really liked the scene so I made sure it would be my first stop on my sunrise shot list. The warm glow lit up the mountains minutes before sunrise.
