Remnants of a Pre-Interstate world. Sights like these are getting harder to find, as even the "old highway" is being replaced with a newer "old highway". But occasionally you'll come across a filling station or cafe, roadside cottages or motor-courts, vestiges of a different way of travel and a different way of "seeing things". Now, there is only the generic "interchange", where everyone knows what to expect, what the menu is and what the lines are in the script.
