I originally wasn't going to make any noise about this, but the first time I took it out the cashier at the grocery store said, "Oh, wow, that's cool" so … it must be cool, right? Checkout girls are the arbiters of cool, right?
I've been thinking about replacing my wallet for a while. I did not, however, go searching for instructions on how to fold a paper wallet, they found me. I just read them and thought, "I have a big unused roll of Kraft paper so why not?" and then a few minutes later the new wallet was mine.
Unfortunately I won't get a chance to truly let this one wear out, because not more than ten minutes after I finished this wallet I found online the perfect wallet for me and ordered it. I can't say more about that right now, though, but hopefully later.
(p.s. on a whim I totally made a second one out of regular printer paper and it is not nearly so nice-feeling. there's something intrinsically pleasant about Kraft paper - maybe it is because it is usually found in the form of grocery bags, and food is good. i don't know.)
