• Tight sunburst..
  • Centered the sun so the composition would act as a vortex leading in !
  • Backlit exposure hard not to blow out
  • It was a challenge trying to get this in focus as well as the foreground flowers
  • I wish I had a sky with clouds but I didnt so I went as low as possible

Olympic National Park- Hurricane Ridge

Newer Older

I recently went up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park for the wildflowers and for some reason there was nothing at all. We searched high and low and we found only one patch of glacier avalanche lilies. So far this shot to get something I put the camera on the ground and looked through the Live Viewfinder to position the sunburst right on the petal so I could get the maximum effect from the sunburst - it took me about sixty shots but I got a few..

Thanks for looking and I love to read the comments

beautiful... this picture was taken in my hometown. Funny thing is, I've lived here all my life, and have only been up to the Ridge a handful of times, this is inspiring me to get up there and look again through my camera, next time!
